Description: This Flat Style Oven Igniter Kit is a high-quality replacement part for specific Frigidaire, GE, Whirlpool gas ranges and wall oven models. It functions to ignite the gas to light the oven burner. It is compatible with select Frigidaire, GE, Whirlpool brands that include Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Kenmore, and others. This does not replace round igniters, or igniters with blue ceramic.  When you turn on the oven, the igniter is activated, and it starts to glow hot. As it heats up, it ignites the gas that is released from the oven's burner. This process continues until the oven reaches the desired temperature.

This is an aftermarket part that can be used as a replacement for the OEM part.
