Description: The Washer Lid Switch is a replacement part for specific Whirlpool, Kenmore top load washer models . It is an electronic component located inside the washer lid that detects when the lid is open or closed in order to activate the necessary functions during the wash cycle, Washing machine lid switch assembly with wire harness.

The lid switch ensures that the washer door is closed while the washer is spinning. If the lid switch is broken, the washer will not spin. If the washer won't spin but will still agitate, the lid switch is likely defective.

 

This is an aftermarket part that can be used as a replacement for the OEM part.
