Description: This Lid Lock Assembly is a replacement part compatible with specific Whirlpool washing machines. This part is responsible for locking the lid of the washing machine during operation. This prevents it from opening while the machine is running.  When a lid lock assembly fails or becomes damaged, it can cause a variety of issues with the washer. The most common symptom of a bad lid lock in a washer is that it will not start when the lid is closed.
