Cooking Appliances Burners, Element, Receptacle and Oven Rack

Burners

Burners are the heating elements found on the cooktop of stoves and ranges. They can be either gas or electric. Gas burners use a flame to provide heat, while electric burners use heated coils. Burners are essential for cooking, allowing you to adjust the heat level for different cooking techniques.

Heating Element

The heating element is the component that provides heat in ovens, stovetops, and other cooking appliances. In electric ovens, there are usually two heating elements: one at the bottom (bake element) and one at the top (broil element). These elements heat up when electricity passes through them, providing the necessary heat for cooking and baking.

Receptacle

The receptacle is the socket where the heating element or burner connects to the power source. It ensures a secure and stable connection for electricity to flow to the heating element. If the receptacle is faulty, it can lead to poor heating performance or even a complete failure of the heating element.

Oven Rack

The oven rack is a removable metal grid inside the oven that holds baking trays, pans, and dishes. Oven racks can be adjusted to different levels, allowing you to position your food closer to or farther from the heating elements. This versatility helps achieve even cooking and browning of your dishes.
